I contacted Katherine and chose her to sell my home in Walnut. Living there for 38 years, I saw her signs up and down my neighborhood and the houses sold quickly. I did my due diligence on top realtors in Walnut and read about her credentials and what her clients said about her. She is always professionally dressed, and although she speaks in a low tone, she is respectful and always kind.
Our home was special and needed the right type of buyer. Although we had kept up the house and maintained it, we had not done a major remodel in many years. She saw the potential in the house, in the lot, and in the tender care we had taken of our home, and said she thought she could get above asking price.
She asked for my permission to stage the house and asked us to move out. I had to stay there several days a week to keep the house, landscaping, and pool maintained, and she worked with me so the house could be shown. She gave me plenty of notice prior to showing the house and had a very good turnout for the weekend open house.
The staging was beautiful and showed the beauty of the house and grounds. She kept me informed by text and email during the entire process. I always knew who was coming, when, and why. She worked with the termite inspector to get the house repaired for a very reasonable price, and her handyman—who painted the bedroom and did some other chores to help get the house ready for sale—was easy to work with and inexpensive.
She knew exactly where the sticking points would be and helped us address them prior to putting the home on the market. When the offers came in, she prepared a spreadsheet to go over the best offers and gave me her opinion on each. To her credit, I liked the second-best offer better, and she picked up the phone two minutes after I talked to her and got a higher price and cleaner offer with a pre-approved loan.
The house was sold within six days with multiple offers above asking. During the escrow process, her team went above and beyond to help me with paperwork, signing, and timelines of what came next. Katherine stayed in contact and negotiated with the buyer’s agent on several of the buyer’s concerns from the inspection. No selling concessions were needed in the end.
I cannot say enough nice things about her professionalism, her knowledge of real estate transactions, and her ability to create not only a great experience but a seamless process. I highly recommend Katherine and her team.
